There is not a single limited on this earth that is 40 lunes. And you can’t directly trade lunes. It could potentially happen with the free lunes subscribers get. But also, I don’t think there are many people with a subscription high enough for that to happen

Agreed! Whether it winds up being for personal use clothes or for someone trying to turn a profit, it’s something that just makes sense. It gives f2p players cash, and acts as a little “Thank you!” to the players who were here early on. I don’t see the harm in it, personally. Especially with how small the player count is at the moment.
