i know you may not want to add openGL support
but its a shot
most players are begging for open gl because they either.
-dont have vulkan
-have a weak version of vulkan
so PLS it might work out you dont know

If they don’t have Vulkan then I doubt it’ll even be playable on OpenGL so there’s no point in doing so.
This is mostly solved by the fact that Luduvo has DirectX11 support, which supports components from all the way back in 2009, and- at least, theoretically- cards a released a year or two before that.
OpenGL has been dying for a while now.
Though, now that I think about it… I wonder how hard it would be to create a transpiler for Vulkan-to-OpenGL instructions… I mean, I’m not the person to do it. But still, it’s an interesting idea… even if it would be slower.
Just get a new PC, luduvo is not worth it if you have an old pc
i literally have a PC with very modern integrated graphics and 16gb of ram yet when i use the level 6 graphic settings it still lags and runs at 30 fps :/
Everyone are begging for openGL thingy, meanwhile me as mobile users just watching this like an idiot
I will say. I do not like this counter argument.
It’s not like Computers are cheap, especially in other parts of the world where computer costs manage to be even more expensive. (And that’s not even getting into the Ram/Drive crisis!)
It would be nice to get more support and optimization, but as of right now I think there’s only like two or three engine devs. It’s just not a good idea right now.
well opengl is deprecated technology for luduvo which is developing a AAA game engine soooo im pretty sure the basic standard in the game development industry is to use vulkan
i spent all of my savings too so i know how difficult it is to get a computer in a third world country, but luduvo is just Different you know. Different business, different goals, etc. Other roblox alternatives (like the one OP is used to playing) don’t care about any of this and don’t see opengl as a hurdle
That’s very true!
What you said does change my opinion a little, but I still find that more often than not “Just buy a new computer” comes off as a little inconsiderate, I guess.
not worth it, tbh
opengl abstracts heavily in areas like memory allocation, shader compilation, etc where it’s just not worth it to wrangle opengl into an nvrhi backend…
the device’s opengl driver usually handles a lot of stuff for you, which is great for beginners but for projects like luduvo where every frame of performance is necessary, that’s not a good thing and will slow it down a LOT
also, opengl can’t be multithreaded like vulkan/dx12 ![]()
@Isaac and hes devs that are more then likey ai
are two lazy to have proper hardware support
just drop this joke of a site its not worth anyone time
and will more then likey be closed in in 7 months from lack of players
When im in a being illiterate competition but my opponent is a roblox clones fan
OpenGL has nothing to do with hardware it’s a completely different piece of software for 3d graphics
