Introducing Scrap Dynasty - An Early Stage Tycoon Game

World

  • 8 plots now instead of 4
  • Stand on a free Plot to claim
  • Can switch plots during play, just can’t claim plots owned by others.

Scrap Yard

  • Dig mounds for cash
  • Shovel speeds digs up, Crusher boosts payout
  • Dig contracts each session: smash a few mounds, get a bonus, then a tougher one (still verifying this one - please advise if any bugs)

Plot extras
After 3 droppers, Extra keeps selling stuff:

  • Magnet: scrap hits sell part (semi-transparent yellow block) faster
  • Sorter: more gold scrap
  • Overdrive: permanent +25% scrap value

Goals (not fully tested/verified)

  • Lifetime cash milestones with one-time payouts
  • Dig/milestone text sits on the mine line so it fits

Fixes

  • Saves less likely to wipe good progress
  • Live game keeps stats.
  • Leaderboard off for now while I rebuild it (if I get to it at this point)

Hey folks. Big patch today.

Level 2

  • Extra button now unlocks a second floor after Dropper 3
  • Buy Level 2, then Droppers 4, 5, and 6
  • Upper droppers sell at sell point 2 upstairs (yes, that money goes to your cash)
  • Floor 2 / Stairs / Sell point 2 stay hidden until you own them

Prestige

  • Max out Faster, Better, the Extra chain, Shovel, and Crusher
  • Extra turns into Prestige when you’re ready
  • Resets plot progress, keeps lifetime and prestige count
  • Each prestige: +10% scrap value, +8% dig/salvage, a bit more starting cash

Fixes

  • HUD text should stop spilling out of the frame
  • Scrap kicked off the map shouldn’t freeze droppers anymore (floor 1 and floor 2)
  • Saves still cover cash, upgrades, Level 2, modules, prestige, and lifetime

I added the backend for a pickup truck system; it will be added at a later date.

Scrap Dynasty will be down today - likely until around 7pm EST - due to an unknown bug that breaks the UI and therefore the game.

Not too sure what happened as it worked for me in play testing last night, but I received multiple reports of this bug.

I will fix this swiftly tonight when I have time and will post here once the game is fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience and I hope everyone has a great day!

This has been resolved! Scrap Dynasty is once again working and the player base upgrades update is here! After you buy dropper 3 you can now purchase a second floor!

The issue was that a HUD label was sitting over the upgrade buttons and eating the clicks. Hover still worked, which made it confusing for me. That’s cleared, so the buttons should work normally again. Sorry for the downtime.

i can’t play luduvo rn because of what i think is old drivers not being supported yet but when i do scrap dynasty is gonna be the 1st thing i play. cant wait :fire:

Hey folks. Quick follow-up patch. I know today is pretty light in terms of updates, but duty calls and I need to help my wife with some stuff and all that.

Shop buttons

  • Faster, Better, Extra, Shovel, and Crusher work again
  • A HUD label was sitting over the buttons and eating clicks

Second scrap yard

  • New dig yard behind plots 4 through 8
  • Same piles, shovel, crusher, and dig contracts as the main yard

Pickup trucks are still backend only. Coming later.

i found an glich where when you leave your upgrades save but money goes back to the amount of money you had before upgrading if you leave and join back after upgrading

man like also the glich helped a lot as like 14 million cash for one upgrade? like thats ridicilous im not saying impossible also but if it took me this much AFKing to get it even with an glich like is this suppos to take four days or something? or five?
