As of now, Polyt*ria is currently at the top due to multiple factors like “hitting the jackpot” when everyone was quitting roblox a few months ago and people started to migrate to the website, and also it being the most “fresh” one (aka being different from roblox and presenting a new experience to roblox users).
But now there’s luduvo, which plans to become the next top roblox alternative, but i highly doubt it will be possible to do it “naturally”. I’m pretty sure the average roblox developer who doesn’t have any sort of knowledge about this whole roclone bubble will go to polyt*ria because it’s the one with the most developed engine and is also the most active one. And also luduvo generally doesn’t have a good reputation on the roclone bubble therefore these new developers would have the wrong idea of luduvo.
And this is a tricky topic because i personally believe that it cannot be solved with advertisement, but rather something else.
What are your thoughts? Is luduvo fine the way it is and just simply needs engine development? Or is there something else that is missing?
Vortex is another alternative that will compete with Luduvo, but I believe that Luduvo has the main thing to make a company grow and expand… money from funds and investments
The biggest problem with these other alternatives is that in most cases, they don’t pay their own employees and don’t set growth goals that are transparent to the community. Meanwhile, Isaac made a point of creating a post outlining what the next steps toward Luduvo’s growth could and will be, which I see as quite promising
I’ve been participating in platforms like this since 2019 when I discovered Brick Hill, and since then I’ve always seen these clones making the same mistakes and eventually shutting down due to a lack of a loyal and active userbase, and also having to deal with a lack of money
I believe between the three, Vortex and Luduvo have the greatest potential… but P*lytoria has the greatest chances on the surface, due to how long it’s been around.
I have the impression that p*lytoria is happy where it is, they’ve never really cared in 6 years of platform about trying to grow and expand in the market to become a competitive alternative to Roblox, and I admit it might be better that way, staying as a niche can be good for some people
it grows naturally because it’s the one whos been there the longest so ig people may prefer it over luduvo. trust over quality? thats what i was thinking
Yeah, I’m pretty sure Willem outright said that he’s content with the platform remaining niche. I would have liked to see it grow and flourish into something truly special, personally. But, if that’s not what the creators want, then so be it.
That was because of drama involving Isaac. They’re doing the same with vortex, apparently. A buncha players were heading over to P*lytoria shortly after the Luduvo server was locked down, so the filter was updated.
Regardless, I still don’t think that Poly, Vortex, and Luduvo should be seen as a 3 way struggle. I feel like If they really wanna rival Roblox, then the best way to handle that is to collaborate with each other.
I agree that’s pretty much the only way but seeing from past drama I heared and even what went down with Isaac it’s unlikely they want to be associated with Luduvo sadly
For sure, it wont happen over night, not over a month, but I do believe Luduvo can become the second biggest ugc platform (beating poly vortex etc) and can have a decently big playerbase
