Getting parts the same color is a pain.
When creating models, sometimes you need a color that just isn’t mixed at the moment. In those cases a builder goes to the color picker and screws around with the sliders until it is juuuuust right. Issue is, once this new color is found, if they wish to use it on another part, there is two options.
-
write down the three rgb values on a sheet of paper and type each one in seperately, taking about 5 mouse clicks and filling out three fields to do what can be accomplished with a copy and paste in roblox.
-
add it to the palette by clicking a white square, doing the steps above, and then saving the color. the issue with this method is that there are only so many custom color slots shared across all games, and if somebody wishes to take advantage of it, one must decide which hue to shoo.
I would suggest either an eyedropper that grabs the color value from the parts in the world (NOT screen color like what we have, as that color is distorted by shadows and ambient scene lighting settings) or at least the ability to copy and paste rgb or hexadecimal colors into the parts color field. Another potential option would be an in studio ability to swap out a palette of customizable palettes, as only one custom color list to cover every game a single builder makes is quite limiting.
Any of these solutions would brighten my day, and help to fill 'duvo with new colors!
